Antique Route - Pretoria

For those of you who follow me on instagram, you will have seen me post up pictures of my gorgeous new / old Windsor Chairs I purchased on Saturday.  I was really excited to have spotted these and had been coveting them for a few weeks before finally buying them.

Windsor chairs are making a great comeback in interior trends, with many designers replicating this cottage style chair in contemporary colours.

I don't know about you, but I really love antiques.  The craftsmanship and quality of a passed age cannot be compared to pieces of today.  I found my chairs at An-Tea-Kettle on Gordon Road in Queenswood, but there are a number of awesome and affordable antique destinations in Pretoria.  Pretoria is so underrated, that when I found this Antique Route map, I decided that I must blog about it and share the Capital City love.

Sounds like a wonderful Saturday outing, doesn't it?  Besides, you get to say, "I spent the morning antiquing"...  Nothing more sophisticated-sounding than that.. Hehe!  Check out the Antique Route Website for more information.

Happy Antiquing and have an awesome Wednesday! ;-)
